I am Jiji, empanelled with The Paravur Handloom Weavers Cooperative Society 3428, under registry number 988. In the August floods, my loom, shed and everything got destroyed. I will need help to get back to work. I have three kids, 2 daughters and son. My husband passed away. I have no other source of income, and will need help to revive my loom. Many organisations have promised help. I have not been working many days now. My kids are not employed yet and 2 of my daughters are of marriageable age. My husband passed away 5 years ago. The land, home and loom all are on loan, and I am under debt. For the loom I had taken Rs 50,000 loan from Bank of India, and now I am not able to pay it back.
I am told by the Society that Former Justice KK Usha has come forward to help me revive my loom and have already paid the money towards it. The society has assured me that they will do the needful. My family and I are extremely thankful honourable Mam.
